Some appear for only a moment before disappearing into the trees.
I have come to believe that every encounter is part of a conversation.
Sometimes the lesson is immediately clear.
Sometimes it unfolds months—or even years—later.
But I have learned that paying attention changes the one who is watching.
This is a collection of the animals who crossed my path and stayed with me—not because they were rare, but because, for a brief moment, we shared the same piece of Earth.
