β¨ The Mineral Wheel
Where astrology,
plants,
minerals,
and nourishment meet.
There are twelve signs on the zodiac wheel.
There are also twelve mineral salts
in an early twentieth-century astrological system
developed from the work of Wilhelm SchΓΌΓler
and later expanded by George W. Carey.
Carey proposed that each sign of the zodiac
has a particular relationship with one of these mineral salts.
I became curious about something a little different.
Where do those minerals live in the garden?
What plants carry them?
What foods bring them to the table?
And what happens when we look at the zodiac
not simply as twelve personalities
but as a wheel of relationships between the body,
the Earth,
and the things that nourish us?
πΏ Around the Wheel

π Finding Your Place on the Wheel
Different astrological mineral traditions have developed ways of working with the
signs surrounding birth.
Here at 5K,
I invite you to explore the wheel as a pattern rather than a prescription.
Your Sun sign can be the beginning of the journey,
not the end of it.
πΏ Have the Keeper Make Your Blend
You don’t need twelve jars of herbs sitting in your cupboard.
Plants are wonderfully complicated things.
One plant may carry several of the minerals we’re exploring
which is why you may notice old friends such as Nettle
and Oatstraw appearing in more than one place around the wheel.
If you’d rather have something made for you,
tell me where you were born on the wheel.
I’ll look at the mineral pattern,
the foods and herbs associated with it,
and create a botanical blend from the plants in the 5K Herbarium.
πΏ Ask the Keeper to Create My Blend
The Mineral Wheel explores historical astrological traditions alongside botanical
and nutritional information.
Custom blends are created as foods/herbal preparations
and are not intended to diagnose or correct a medical mineral deficiency.
