There is something about baking that makes a kitchen feel like home.
Flour on the counter.
Something warm in the oven.
The smell that begins wandering through the house
before anyone has even decided they’re hungry.
Baked Creations is where breads,
muffins,
biscuits,
cookies,
bars,
and other things made for the oven gather in the Mountain Kitchen.
Some are everyday recipes.
Some are made for sharing.
Some have been adjusted for life at altitude.
And occasionally,
something wonderful happens simply because I forgot the baking soda.
Not every recipe arrives exactly as planned.
Sometimes the kitchen has an idea of its own.
