📖Vesica Piscis

The Threshold Between Worlds

Where two circles meet

a third space appears.

The Vesica Piscis is formed by two circles of equal size

intersecting so that the center of each rests upon the circumference of the other.

Within their meeting is the almond-shaped space known as the vesica.

It has been contemplated as sacred geometry

a meeting of opposites

a doorway between realms

and a figure of creation.

The Realm of Light

Before something becomes form

there is possibility.

The Vesica Piscis can be understood as the realm of Light

the luminous threshold between what has not yet taken form

and what is preparing to enter this world.

Neither circle disappears in the joining.

Instead, their intersection creates somewhere that did not exist before.

Light becomes the passage between them.

The Cosmic Vagina

The word vesica means bladder or vessel,

while piscis means fish.

But the shape also unmistakably recalls the vulva and the opening of the female body.

Within the symbolic language of the Apothecary

the Vesica Piscis is the cosmic vagina:

the threshold through which the unseen enters the seen.

Not merely a symbol of fertility,

but of passage.

Idea into matter

Spirit into body

Potential into form

Light into this realm.

Birth is therefore not only the creation of something new.

It is a crossing.

The Third Space

There are two circles.

And then there is what happens between them.

The Vesica Piscis reminds us

that relationship itself can create something neither side contains alone.

The meeting becomes generative.

The intersection becomes a doorway.

One meets another

and a third possibility is born.

In the Apothecary

The Vesica Piscis appears within the work not simply as decoration

but as a reminder of the threshold.

Every seed crosses one.

Every creation crosses one.

Every becoming crosses one.

And we do too.

We enter through the Light.
