🩶 The Guardians
Some stones do not feel decorative.
They feel ancient.
They carry the quiet weight of something remembered long before we arrived.
Across cultures, people have told stories of teachers who came from the mountains,
the stars
the sea
or the Earth itself.
Some remember ancestors.
Some remember guardians.
Some remember visitors whose only gift was knowledge.
Whether these stories are history
symbol
or sacred memory is not for me to decide.
What matters is that they remind us that wisdom has always been considered
something to receive with humility rather than possess.
Certain stones awaken that feeling in me.
They ask for stillness.
For listening.
For responsibility.
Not because the stone speaks
but because it helps quiet enough of my own thoughts that I can finally hear.
Perhaps that is what a guardian has always done.
Not stand in front of the path.
Simply remind us to walk it with reverence.
