Custom Commissions

Some things are not meant to be chosen from a shelf.

They begin with a person, a place, a story, a feeling, or an idea that has not quite taken form yet.

Custom commissions are created slowly and collaboratively. Each piece begins with conversation and develops from there.

I do not work from a rigid catalog.

I listen first.

Sometimes the direction is clear from the beginning.

Sometimes the work reveals itself through color, material, symbolism, texture, memory, landscape, or the person it is being created for.

The goal is not simply to make something custom.

It is to make something that feels specific to you.

Custom Talisman

A custom talisman begins with your intention, story, or season of life.

Together, we may consider stones, natural materials, symbols, color, form, length, movement, and the way the piece will actually be worn.

Some pieces are quiet and grounding.

Some are celebratory.

Some mark a transition.

Some simply begin with, “I keep thinking about this stone.”

Each talisman is created individually rather than reproduced from a standard design.

Custom Art

Custom art may begin with a room, a memory, a landscape, an animal, a color story, or an image you have carried in your mind for years.

My work can include painted pieces, decorative and symbolic art, pointillist work, botanical imagery, animals, and pieces created specifically for a particular space.

Whenever possible, I want the finished work to feel as though it belongs where it lands.

Not decoration added afterward.

Part of the story of the place.

A Note About the Process

Commissioned work requires trust on both sides.

You are welcome to bring photographs, colors, measurements, meaningful objects, symbols, stories, or simply an idea you cannot yet describe very well.

You do not need to arrive with the entire piece designed.

That is part of what the conversation is for.

Once we determine whether the project feels like a good fit, I will outline the direction, estimated cost, timing, and any materials or information needed before work begins.

Because each commission is individually created, pricing and completion time will vary.
